Mission

The mission of the Cumberland County Public Library (CCPL) is to fulfill the informational, educational, technological, cultural, and recreational needs of its patrons by providing free and convenient access to the world of ideas through its collections of materials, services and programs.

Services

Reference & Geneaological Research Assistance

Not sure where to start to find the information you need? Not sure how to make sense of what you have found? Please ask -- that's what we're here for! CCPL has two full-time and two part-time staff as well as many well-informed, friendly, helpful volunteers. For geneaological assistance, our "resident expert" is Mrs. Marge Wise.

Computing & Data Services

CCPL provides free high-speed internet access and basic word-processing on three (3) general-use public access PCs. The library also has wireless internet access available to those who have their own wireless-ready laptop computer. Please note that due to filtering, email access is not possible on the wireless network, but IS available on the library's public PCs. Printing is available at each PC, and there is a 20¢ per-page charge.

A basic copy machine for patron use is located near the circulation desk. The charge for photocopying is 20¢ per page. The machine can reduce or enlarge images, but double-sided printing is not available.

CCPL provides patrons with access to over 20,000 books, audiobooks (cassette and CD), periodicals, videocassettes, and DVDs.
