BOOK COLLECTIONS

Books for school students are to be found in this area. There is a wide collection of fiction from that most popular of characters, Harry Potter, to those found in the classics such as Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer. The library also still has Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys! Books of nonfiction are available in every subject field to help with homework and term papers and to pass the SOL's. Teachers find the library's collection helpful as it supplements the books found in the school library.

YOUNG ADULT COLLECTION

The Library has recently begun a Young Adult (YA) section. This area contains book appropriate for teens, ages 14 through 19. Check out the graphic novel collection, books about careers, and great stories that relate to your life.

Computers and the Internet

Students have access to the Gates Foundation computers that provide special software to aid them with homework and term papers. Software office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher are available. Also reference programs such as World English Dictionary, Encarta Encyclopedia, Encarta Africana Third Edition, World Atlas, Corbis FDR, and Encarta Research are available to encourage seeking young minds to strive and achieve.
